Accessibility Statement
This page is maintained by The Passion Explorers ApS and describes how we work to make thepassionexplorers.dk usable for as many people as possible. It reflects our own practices and self-assessment: it is not an independent audit or certification.

Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as a working target. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort rather than a finished state, and we review the site as we add new content and sections.
What we do today
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark and ordered headings.
- Text alternatives on meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Keyboard operability for all links, buttons and the expedition slideshow controls.
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
- Colour combinations chosen for contrast against our dark background.
- Responsive layout that works on small screens and at increased browser zoom.
- Form fields with associated labels and text-based error messages, so colour is never the only signal.
Known limitations
- Some photography carries mood rather than information; alternative text is brief and may not describe every detail of a scene.
- Image slideshows advance only on user action, but long photo sets can still be time-consuming to review with a screen reader.
- Third-party content we link to (for example LinkedIn) is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
We are working through these items. If something here blocks you, please tell us. Real reports move faster than our own review cycle.

Assessment method
This statement is based on our own review of the site: manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, contrast checks against our design tokens, and code review of markup and ARIA usage. No external accessibility audit has been carried out.
